Thanks to Ragib Hasan for posting a Facebook status on the “mass beating” YouTube video that is highly SHARED now on the Facebook and other social media labelling it as one of those of Fatikchharhi, Chittagong.
But it’s an old video, of September last year. This video was shared by one Sobhan Jomaddar from Barguna at 9:44am on September 8, 2012. Until now, 151 people have shared that video. Location of this incident and the killers couldn’t be identified until now. There was no title or caption with the video.
I didn’t share this MASS BEATING video on Facebook that time; but uploaded it on the YouTube on September 9 last year.
I was shocked to watch that video which portrays some demons killing two or more people in public. But I was much horror-stricken after hearing the recent mass beatings of Amin Bazar, Noakhali and Kapasia in the recent months since 2011.
MASS BEATING has become a concern in Bangladesh in the last couple of years as some sensational incidents made the headlines: the deaths of six students by robbers in Amin Bazar; Milon of Companyganj, Noakhali; and several incidents in Gazipur area, including one death while in police custody.

Recently, this video was shown again in an episode of Taalash on Independent TV where the journo could not identify the place too, but assumed that it might took place in Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar or Bagerhat areas.
Concern:
Sharing this video giving a false caption and title can’t be accepted. Whoever sharing this knowing or unconsciously should stop and admit their mistake.
To defame we don’t need to put false videos or photos what they’ve been doing regularly to thwart the ongoing trial of its leaders at the international crimes tribunal.
We’ve already watched how Jamaat-Shibir-Hefazat men killed two Chhatra League supporters at a classroom in Bhujpur School. We’ve thousands of photos and videos [since 1971 until now] on how much violent this force could be. Some of those attackers have already been held and remanded.
In the ongoing cyber-war between the pro- and anti-liberation forces, another video of October 28, 2006 has appeared that shows the violence between the Awami League and Jamaat men in Dhaka, widely termed by opposition as the “logi-boithya hamla” [attack with apparatus of a boat – election symbol of AL].
Supporters of both the quarters are also spreading many other videos, photos and newspaper clippings of the past days to malign the other.
Give up crimes, be a human being!

তিনটি লিংকের মধ্যে দ্বিতীয়টি ক্লিক করলেই দেখতে পারবেন ফটিকছড়িতে জামায়াত-শিবিরের সন্ত্রাস বলে যেই গনপিটুনিতে মেরে ফেলার কথা বলা হচ্ছে সেটা আসলে ঠিক নয়। ফটিকছড়ির ভিডিও জেনে শেয়ার করবেন না প্লিজ এবং যারা আপলোড করেছেন তাদেরকে জানিয়ে দিন। লিঙ্ক দেখে যাদের সমস্যা হচ্ছে তাদের কাছে ক্ষমা চাচ্ছি।
এটাকে যারা না জেনে ফটিকছড়ির ভিডিও বলে চাল্লাছে তাদেরকে দয়া করে সতর্ক হবার আহ্বান জানাচ্ছি। ২০১২ সালের ৮ই সেপ্টেম্বরে অজানা কোন এক জায়গার এই ভিডিওটা আমিও দেখেছিলাম, তখন অনেক ছড়িয়েছিল ফেসবুকে। এটা পোস্ট করেছিলেন বরগুনার কোন এক শোভন জমাদ্দার কোন শিরোনাম বা বর্ণনা ছাড়াই।
গত দুবছরে আমিন বাজারে ৬ছাত্র, নোয়াখালীর মিলন আর গাজীপুরে একাধিক গনপিটুনিতে কমপক্ষে ২০জনের মৃত্যু হয়। আর সারা বছরই নানা জায়গায় এরকম ঘটনা ঘটিয়ে চলেছে মানুষ নামের কিছু দানব।
কিছু মানুষরূপী দানবের এই ভয়াবহতাটা ফেসবুকে শেয়ার দেইনি তখন, কিন্তু ইউটিউবে রেখে দিয়েছিলাম। ঘৃনা জানাতে। এখন শেয়ার দিচ্ছি ভুল ভাঙ্গাতে।
কিছুদিন আগে ইন্ডিপেন্ডেন্ট টিভির তালাশ অনুষ্ঠানে এটি আবার দেখানো হয়েছিল, অনুসন্ধান করেও নিশ্চিত হওয়া যায়নি এটি কোথাকার ঘটনা; কেউ বলে কক্সবাজার, বাগেরহাট বা চট্টগ্রামের।
যারা এটাকে এখন ফটিকছড়ির ঘটনা বলে চালিয়ে দিচ্ছেন বা না জেনে শেয়ার করছেন, তারা দয়া করে সেই লিংকগুলো সরিয়ে ফেলুন এবং সবাইকে জানান সত্যি কথাটা।
নইলে ফটোশপ এক্সপার্ট আর প্রতারনায় ওস্তাদ জামায়াত-শিবির একটা ইস্যু পেয়ে যাবে।
টিভিতে ও ফেসবুকে একটা মোবাইল ভিডিওতে কয়েকটা নরপশুকে দেখলাম ফটিকছড়ির স্কুলের একটা ক্লাশরুমে। দেখলাম ছাত্রলীগের দুইজনকে কুপিয়ে-পিটিয়ে মেরে ফেলতে, সেখানে গোটা বিশেক দর্শক ছিল। আর গতবছরের ভিডিওতে দর্শক আরো বেশী।
সাইবার যুদ্ধের এই পর্যায়ে ভুল করা ঠিক হবেনা। ইতিমধ্যেই জামায়াত-শিবির-বিএনপির সমর্থকরা বেশকিছু পুরোনো ভিডিও ফেসবুকে-ইউটিউবে ছেড়ে দিয়েছে। সুতরাং সবাইকে সতর্ক হওয়া উচিত।
যা বাস্তব সত্য, তা অস্বীকার করার কোন উপায় নেই; কিন্তু প্রতারনা কাম্য নয় কেননা সেটা অপরাধ।
হানাহানির রাজনীতি বন্ধ হোক, শুভবুদ্ধির উদয় হোক সবার; আর তা না হলে আইনের আওতায় আনা হোক সকলকে। ন্যায়বিচার নিশ্চিত হোক মনুষ্য সমাজে।
