The bill to amend the ICT Act has been submitted in parliament by the standing committee on law ministry after a scrutiny. It might be passed into law on Sunday, even though the govt could do it today.

The EC sat today to decide on the cancellation of registration of radical Islamic party Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islam but it ended inconclusive. The CEC at a press conference said they could do it quickly only if the govt bans it or the tribunal  directs the EC to do so. The tribunal in its verdicts on Bacchu Razakar and Quader Mollah mentioned Jamaat’s name for being involved in war crimes in 1971.

The Jamaat-Shibir men continued their violence across the country, fought against police with firearms.

Firoz Munshi, 38, a liftman at Agrani Bank’s main branch, died today. He was injured yesterday in Shibir’s attack.

The most stunning event of the day was CANDLE LIGHT VIGIL at 7:00pm at Shahbagh, across the country and elsewhere in the world demanding DEATH PENALTY of all razakars. Television channels broadcast the moment LIVE and hundreds of photos and posts on the event have flooded the Facebook. But sadly, the TV channels and newspapers haven’t yet stopped publishing advertisements of the Jamaat-Shibir organisations.

The SHAHBAGH has declared a GRAND RALLY for 3:00pm Friday, and hopes to see a gathering of around 2,00,000 — like that of the last Friday.

At 3:55am Friday, there’re around 3000 protestors OCCUPYING SHAHBAGH amid slogans. They’re sharing foods and warmth, some singing songs, dancing with each other.

At 6:10am, the PROTEST resumed after a 20 minutes’ recess for Fazr Prayers and cleaning activities. Then the protestors started with the National Anthem in presence of around 600 desperate campaigners.
